Currently, we are having to confront and learn how to adapt to constantly fluctuating markets, causing instability and unpredictability on a large scale. Above all, as a company, non-profit organization executive, manager, or head of a team, a community, or an organization, we need to learn how to convey a message of hope instead of fear, encourage unity instead of division, and raise solidarity instead of giving up.

In addition, each of us must try to quickly learn more online communication skills. with the team and organization. That's why now is the right time to learn how to improve your leadership abilities through the course Public Narrative; to be able to convey content that makes listeners take action together instead of sitting still or running away due to fear.

Public Narrative is the art of storytelling to encourage and inspire listeners to act in unison for a common purpose. A great leader offers stories that evoke shared values and raise hope for the future.

In online courses Public Narrative this time, students will learn about the framework of Public Speaking. This is a leadership skill put together by professor Marshall Ganz at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Leadership Training in Government. This framework has also been further developed by its users around the world. Professor Marshall Ganz said: “leadership is taking responsibility to encourage others to unite towards a common purpose in a situation of instability and chaos.”

In this course, students will learn about purpose and how to build Your Story. The teaching method in this course will be: explain, give examples, practice, give feedback, absorb and continue to practice. Practice and practice are the essence of this art of storytelling because your story will become better each time you tell it to the very people you are trying to encourage. It will not be possible to perfect it if you simply think it in your head without practicing it directly. Each time you campaign or for each different purpose, you have different listeners. What you should do is practice to bring a story suitable for each listener.

In the section Story About Me, each student will give their own story to create a convincing example with three parts - The difficulties encountered, the choices made in confronting those difficulties, and the achievements attained afterward. In addition, students will learn how to tell a story in just two minutes or less. Of course, the first obstacle will be having to shorten each person's story to just two minutes, but this will prevent the story from being rambling and keep it focused. The two-minute time limit forces us to omit lengthy, unnecessary details. Get straight to the core issues that motivate you, describe your real experiences and your true self. It's these things that will connect you with your audience. Listeners can immediately distinguish between someone trying to project an image and a genuine person telling their story. Furthermore, presenting your most authentic experiences is the best way for your audience to see your personality, to understand why they care so much, and... I decided to take the lead in solving the problem.

This online class is the first of three classes in the course Public Narrative. The entire course will use My Story to connect closely with listeners, Our Story to help all groups feel solidarity and realize that difficulties are common, and The Story of the Present will make listeners feel the urgency and need for the problem to be solved quickly.
